Kitchen Door Terms & Conditions - Catering

Definitions:  

“Kitchen Door” refers to “The Kitchen Door Catering Company Limited”.  The “client” refers to the customer booking any catering services with Kitchen Door.  “We, ours, us, etc.” means Kitchen Door.  “You, Yours, etc..” means The Client.

These Terms and Conditions may be amended by us at any time by updating them on our website.  You should review these Terms and Conditions each time you access our website.  By continuing to use and access our website, you agree to be bound by the amended Terms and Conditions.  

Prices
All prices quoted are exclusive of HST unless otherwise stated.
A 12% Production Fee will apply to all orders.

Deposit and Payments

Payment is required prior to delivery unless authorized in advance. We accept payment by most credit cards, including Mastercard, AMEX  and Visa . Direct transfer (request banking information via email) or e-transfers can be sent to [email protected] - please reference the invoices number in the note section. We do not provide terms as our costs are incurred immediately.

All quotes are subject to availability at the time of booking and full payment is required to secure your catering order . No order is considered confirmed until full payment has been received.  Our availability fills up quickly so we strongly recommend you confirm as soon as possible with a signed agreement and/or payment to ensure availability.

Dietary Requirements

Kitchen Door staff and suppliers prepare all food in accordance with the Food Standards set by the Nova Scotia Food Safety Regulations.  

Kitchen Door's commissary kitchen and equipment used within may contain traces of nuts, egg, dairy, gluten, and other known allergens. Although all care is taken by Kitchen Door to ensure these items are contained, we cannot guarantee that all dietary requirements will be met. Whilst we understand the serious implications of reactions to allergens and will endeavor not to cross contaminate your food, Kitchen Door will not accept responsibility or liability for an adverse reaction to our any of our food by any guest. Please inform any of your guests who have serious food allergies that if they are concerned that they will be able to bring their own allergen-free food in some circumstances. 

Cancellations

Standard  Drop Off Catering orders that are canceled less than 15 days prior to the event for any reason, including weather or any other circumstances will incur a fee of 100% of the final invoice. 

Quality Control

Kitchen Door does not part cater any event, including the serving of cakes, desserts, BYO food of any nature without prior consent. This practice contravenes our Food Safety program. Please mention to your Kitchen Door Booking Representative during the initial quote stages if you plan to supply any foods from home or relative or registered food business. Images on our website and marketing material are styled for presentation purposes, and may not be indicative of the presentation of particular items ordered by the Client. Menus are subject to change according to seasonal and supplier availability. We do endeavour to alert clients to any changes, however, this is not always possible and in some instances some products may be substituted for similar quality ingredients.

Ordering cut off times

We are a scratch kitchen, and therefore, all our drop off menu options are carefully crafted to order.  Depending on your needs, we may require as little as 48 hours notices and as much as 30 days notice depending on your  order and our availability.  Don't wait to reach out, contact us directly for more information.

 

Deliveries

Delivery is available 5 days a week between 7 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday.  Saturday delivery is available with a minimum spend and based on availability, please reach out to confirm.  We are closed on Sundays.   A delivery fee applies based on location and the day/time of the delivery. Current delivery charges are available by contacting [email protected]  Delivery fees to locations outside a 25 kilometers from our commissary kitchen in Dartmouth are discretionary. Delivery windows are 30-45 minutes prior to your selected delivery time.

Please ensure delivery access is always available to your location. If a mobile phone number is provided for contact, please ensure that the mobile phone is switched on. If access is not available at the agreed time of delivery, the driver may have to return at a later time resulting in an additional delivery fee, or the delivery may be canceled at the discretion of Kitchen Door.  Payment of the invoice will still be required.
